The love of outdoors and the experience of being in the wilderness are quite fascinating. Finding out that you have forgotten to bring the important things after reaching the campground can turn the excitement into frustration. However you can ensure a piece of mind knowing you have brought everything you need just by making a simple list. No matter it is a short or a long outdoor activity, there are important things that you should always carry on a camping trip and below are the essential things.

 

1.      Shelter and beddings: These things are one of the first priorities needed when going for camping trip such as a tent to protect from rain and sun, sleeping bag and a tarp to protect your gears and equipments.

2.      Cooking and dining: Bring extra water and food especially when there are kids joining the outdoor. A camp stove for cooking and other basic utensils for dining such as pan, plates, spoons etc helps prepare having a good meal.

3.      A good knife: A knife can be the most important survival tool in the wilderness and can be used to get almost any job done such as a folded knife with few extra tools at your waist can save you time and space.

4.      First Aid Kit: Without warning mishap will happen. To tackle the emergency situation when camping accident occur is by preparing first aid kit containing bandages, antiseptic cream and ointment, sterile wipes and medications.

5.      Fire starter tools: For cooking or to warm up throughout the cold night, fire is important. Weather changes cannot be avoided, during wet or stormy weather conditions having waterproof matches or lighters can be a life saver.

6.      Flashlight: To lighten your way and checking your surrounding, flashlight is an important gear during the night. Make sure it is durable and long lasting with extra batteries.

7.      Compass: Modern gadgets like GPS runs on batteries and will run out of power. Learning how to navigate and finding the correct ways is simple and easy using compass and still is the best and practical way.

8.      Proper clothing and footwear: To keep up with the climate change wear a jacket and gloves if necessary. To protect your feet and avoiding from slipping and falling wear a hiking boots and bring extra cloth to change when you get wet or cold.

9.      Insect repellant spray or ointment: Never go camping without it especially when there are kids Bugs and insects bite are normal in the jungle.

10.  Trash bags: To care for the environment is our responsibility. Dispose garbage and waste properly so that our campground environment is preserved for the future generations.
